9 April 2021 12:24Two beavers are building a damn. The river, wide and dark and calm, rushes straight towards them until it his their construction, then forms eddies. The background is pine trees and a distant green mountain (this is an Oregon deck, for sure!). There are seven logs - three under each beaver, and one shared between them. The shared one grows leaves. The beavers are calm, and their eyes look at each other, not at me.
The pamphlet assigns this "Vigilance" and "A Struggle to Stay Ahead."
Interesting - the card reads much calmer to me than those two attributes. Again, this is a card that I feel like I've pulled more than a few times in my life. 2018-2019 might as well have tattooed this card into my forehead, lol! But when I was trying to live it, there was a lot more hidden desperation than I am sensing from this card.
Then again. Right now, I am ABSOLUTELY still exercising vigilance, and struggling to stay ahead (of great historical events sweeping across the land). But I feel calm, calmer than I have in years.
Hmm... perhaps I am truly pulling this card now, in 2021, and the previous period was something else.
