This is the first card I've studied that sparkles - not just the big green eyes of the sun disc, but the diamond patterns showing out all around it, have little white specks that create that illusion. And of course... it "sees"! I get the impression it is reaching out with its sparkly energy towards me - trying to embrace me maybe? There is no coin here, other than the disc of the sun itself, but there are seven clear diamond sparkles. Also, those vaguely reptilian eyes are here as well, though in a less sinister form, worming their way into the spaces between the sparkles. The biggest eyes of course belong to the sun... and they are friendly and calm.

The pamphlet reads "Hope" and "Healing".

Yes - I spent another minute letting the card reach out to me. I do need this energy in my life. I need what it is offering. Soon, Mike and I will be on a no-sugar fast, as well as picking up vitamin supplementation, and I will be attempting the full-body healing from the terrible events of last year that I very much crave right now. The farther we can get in our quest, the better - we've absolutely got to reinforce ourselves while it is possible, to prepare for what is to come. And... I have hope that we will make great progress :)

Thank you, Star! I hope to draw you many a time in the years ahead.

And... as I scrolled through the book... I saw that Levi had ALSO written an introduction. Come. On!! I mean, the French practice is good but...

I will be using the page numbers from the book itself from here on out, to avoid any confusion.

THE WAY OF HIGH MAGIC
1*A
The Recipient
(Latin words)

When a philosopher took as the base of a new revelation about human reason and wisdom: **I think, therefore I am**, he changed something without knowing it - according to the Christian revelation, the antique notion of the Supreme Being. Moses said of this Being: I am that I am. Descartes said of mankind: I am what I think, and, as speaking comes from interior thinking, the man of Descartes can say the same as the God of St. John the Evangelist: I am that which is manifested in the verb, ""In principio erat verbum."

There we are... there's the meat of it. More in this vein as we go.
