Still plugging along with this - at least there's less left to do!
1) Still need to decorate candles.
2) Still need to cut a hole in the fabric for the robe, and to seal the edges as best as I can.
3) I'd like to read through the ceremony a few more times before I do it, as well (I've read it several times already but a few times more would be ideal).
Got some advice about planetary hours from Violet - I think the most auspicious period will be when the moon is waxing from its lowest point, (so after ~1 AM tonight) in the sign of Cancer - per my readings, a family and community-oriented sign, and in the best possible world I want my practice to benefit my family and community, so it feels appropriate - and during the hour of Jupiter. Which is between 7:13 and 8:10 AM tomorrow morning, oosh!
But - my divination gave today's outcome as "not being able to sleep/being kept awake" (9 of Spades) and... hey... looks like there's more ways to not be able to sleep deeply than worrying about a job! ;) Mike will wake me up at 6 AM, morning person that he is. But this really means, I gotta get things DONE today!
NO walks today, I learned my lesson yesterday. But, I do need to do a ritual and water the garden. Let's put some genuine effort into the ritual today - I was so tired/underfed yesterday that it was like sleepwalking to do it. OK, off I go!
Ritual done, and also went out to get a proper fried chicken lunch with my husband, so that I wouldn't find myself flagging in the same way today. I think it might be time for me to get started on an art project! Here we go :)
That... took... longer... than I though it would. But - the candles are decorated, eesh. I at least have to cut a hole in the fabric for my head - I think I will do that after finances (I do them every Friday).
I ended up getting distracted during that - but at least, I cut the neck hole in the fabric, so it will be usable. Sheesh, I'm cutting it close! Now to read the ritual a few more times before I go to sleep tonight.. and after the kid goes to bed... get everything ready so that I can stumble through it while very tired, lol!
